About Us

We are Paul and Julie Carr and we run a select sport horse breeding operation on our farm in Ballyheerin, Fanad in North Donegal. Following in Paul’s father John’s footsteps, we have endeavoured to combine the best damlines with international performance sires to produce modern blood sport horses.

 

We are very lucky to live and work in this beautiful part of Ireland where our horses can flourish in natural surroundings. It is a privilege to breed these exceptional animals and be present from their first breath until they leave to fulfil their performance potential in showjumping or eventing.

 

Our passion for breeding sport horses is reflected in the success of Ballyheerin horses both at home and abroad – we will never tire of the thrill of seeing one of our home bred horses excel on the national or international stage.
